The Distant Tears Earrings

'The Distant Tears' earrings are handcrafted from 24ct gold plated bronze and clear glass in a shape of long teardrops. Post-back fastening, meant for pierced ears.

They're part of Alighieri’s 'No More Tears' collection. This collection is a treasure trove of armour: little emblems of protection, to fill with adventures to come, and the occasional salty tear.

Alighieri is a collection of jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’; each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. Founded by Rosh Matani in 2014 with the intention of creating "Modern heirlooms that celebrate the beauty of human imperfection", every piece is handcrafted in London's Hatton Garden by a family-run business through the process of lost-wax casting.
