'The Lunar Rocks' necklace features two pendants handcrafted from 24ct gold plated bronze with a gold filled chain. It belongs to the 'Many Moons Ago' collection.

ABOUT THE 'MANY MOONS AGO' COLLECTION:

In the second circle of Dante Alighieri’s “Paradiso”, the poet arrives in the magical sphere of the moon, where light and serenity abound. After months of darkness, the "Many Moons Ago' collection looks to the light of the lunar sphere.

The two celestial fragments of the Lunar Rocks necklace are suspended in time, they feel like little craters of the moon, that have travelled to earth. The texture of each rock are a depiction of the moon's surface; little craters, immortalised in time. The terrain of the moon, whilst uneven in places, is an ode to the beauty of imperfection. The Lunar Rocks necklace is designed as an everyday reminder to embrace the difficult moments, and the light they often do bring.

CARE:

Do not to wear your Alighieri jewelry whilst showering, exercising or swimming. Avoid contact with oils, lotions or perfumes. Wipe clean with a soft cloth before putting it away in a cool dry place.

Alighieri is a collection of jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’; each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. Founded by Rosh Matani in 2014 with the intention of creating "Modern heirlooms that celebrate the beauty of human imperfection", every piece is handcrafted in London's Hatton Garden by a family-run business through the process of lost-wax casting.
