'The False Promises' ring is Alighieri's take on the classic signet and is handcrafted from 24ct gold plated silver.

It belongs to the 'Lost Dreamer' collection, that explores the role of dreaming in times when realities seem like surreal nightmares. Dante looks to art, music, and storytelling as a means of escapism. He writes himself into the poem and the line between reality and dreaming is blurred.

The constant tension between light and dark, real and imaginary, is the context for Alighieri’s 'Lost Dreamer' Collection, which embraces the magical ambiguity of sometimes not quite knowing which is which.

Alighieri is a collection of jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’; each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. Founded by Rosh Matani in 2014 with the intention of creating "Modern heirlooms that celebrate the beauty of human imperfection", every piece is handcrafted in London's Hatton Garden by a family-run business through the process of lost-wax casting.
